Shadow of the Colossus: A Review.

Hello there, today I will be reviewing Shadow of the Colossus. If you don't know what this is, it's a Japanese epic. What I mean by that is that there are points in this game where you want to stand up and say "that's bad-ass." Sadly, before you get there you have to do a lot of tedious horse-riding and jumping over stuff. The colossi really pay off though, when you see them they are awesome. They are humungous rock dirt things that move. The object of the game is to locate and destroy all sixteen colossi. Several people say that this game is easier than it looks. I think the opposite. It is harder than it looks and it looks pretty hard. The picture I included shows the first colossi. I haven't gotten past it yet. There are sixteen in all and the sixteenth one is extremely hard because it shoots lightning beams out of it's eyes. If you're wondering why your character is going around killing these humungous beasts there's a reason. He's trying to resurrect a woman who got sacrificed because she was thought to have evil spirits inside her body. Your character needs to kill all the colossi to make her live again. Overall I give this game a 7.5 because once all the finding is done it's awesome!

Thoughts on the New-ish Series, MARVEL CIVIL WAR.

Hello there, today I'm reviewing Marvel Civil War. The Marvel Civil War is a series of graphic novels documenting the lives of some famous and not-so-famous superheroes...and villains. The whole idea of this series is based of the real Civil War, hence the name. The idea I'm talking about is friends turning on other friends, etc. For instance, Captain America and Iron Man have a long fight because they are on different sides of the Civil War. That is not the only example. Throughout the series Deadpool turns on Cable, and Spiderman has a humungous fight with Titanium Man. There is something in the Marvel universe called the Superhero Registration Act which is a law that forces superheroes to give all their secret info to the government. This starts a large civil war in the superhero community. Some people do want to register and some don't. This series' concept is cool and the writing is superb. Many of the books were written by modern comic revolutionary Brian Michael Bendis who is one of my favorites. Inside each Civil War book you'll find mini-stories that are sometimes tie-ins, meaning they appeared in other comics first. All in all, these books are one of the best modern series marvel has cranked out yet.

Hello there. Sorry I haven't been posting lately I have been caught up in my work at middle school. I've been in middle school for about 7 weeks now but never wanted to mention it. It is tough but worth it in some ways. There are way more projects and stuff like that. For those of you who have already gone to middle school leave a comment about what it was like. For those of you who haven't yet it's way more fun than I make it sound. Like you can actually choose what you want to do as an elective or special class. Above is some artwork I did in the past few months. I am open to constructive criticism. Also the "R" in in Rathmir is purposely backwards.

Hello there, today I've decided to replace superhero of the day with superhero battle of the day. I'll take 2 superheroes, or villains, and have them battle. This idea is strongly influenced by the show Deadliest Warrior, which I am a fan of. This has happened before in Marvel vs DC: The Comic. Today I am going to be battling Namor and Aquaman.

   Namor is a half atlantean, half human. He has the mutant power to fly and because of his human side he can breathe air, and because of his atlantean side he can breathe water. He is relatively stronger than humans and can swim way better than any human can. He carries a large sea trident as well.

   Aquaman is a human. His mother died when he was a baby. His father devloped a home under the sea and taught young Aquaman how to breathe underwater. He later taught himself how to speak to fish and other marine life. After that due to nuclear radiation he developed a disadvantage: he had to be in water at least once an hour.

   They are both equally skilled at swimming. Aquaman is slightly stronger. Namor can fly and has a trident.
Aquaman has to be in water at least once an hour, Namor doesn't. If the battle between the two were on land, Namor would win. If the battle were in water Aquaman would win.

RESULT:

DEAD EVEN.

Superhero of the Day: Superman

Hello there, today I will be talking about superman, one of the most iconic superheroes ever. He is one of DC's biggest accomplishments, next to Batman. Superman has all the ideal powers, powers that marvel sort of of stole from them. For instance superman has laser vision, so does cyclops. But whatever they're both cool. Also superman has super strength, the ability to fly, x-ray vision, and is impervious to pain. I give superman a 8.2/10, because he has all the essential powers.

Hello there, today the superhero of the day is Iron man. One of the most famous superheroes ever, Iron Man is really Tony Stark, an alcoholic industrialist who got rich of off his fathers company Stark Industries. Iron man's suit enables him to fly, shoot heat and laser beams, and pack a metallic punch. Iron Man went through a few phases. When he was first shown to the public he looked like the picture to the right. This superhero gets and 8.5/10.

   Hello there, sorry I haven't been posting stuff as much lately. I had to go back to school. Replacing State of the Day I have Superhero of the Day.

   Spiderman:
Spiderman's secret identity is Peter Parker. Peter Parker gets bitten by a mutant spider and strange things happen. He is resistant to pain, he has super strength, and he can stick to walls. Thinking this was an chance to make money he performed on television and was a short lived pro boxer. One day after a match a masked robber ran down the hall, with a chance to stop him Peter did nothing. The same robber went on to kill his uncle Ben. Determined for revenge he built himself a pair of web shooters and went out fighting crime and looking for the robber. In 2002 they made a Spiderman movie.
   The movie was very good just not correct on some of the things that happened. This superhero gets an 8.7/10.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre: A Review

Hello, today I'm reviewing Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I am reviewing the 1974 version they remade it like every other classic slasher, and post slasher. The movie is about a group of teens driving through texas when they pick up a strange hitch-hiker and end up at his brothers house. The teens enter the house one by one all of them don't leave except for Sally who gets tortured by head-sick leatherface his brother and a nearby store owner. Thankfully Sally escapes in the back of a pickup truck. All of this happens during the day. This movie is psychologically scary, but physically not.

A View to a Kill: A Review.

Hello, today I’m reviewing A View to a Kill. This movie was the second best Roger Moore movie, next to Live and Let Die. It is about a horse-trainer who is injecting steroids into the horses and implanting microchips in them. He also plans to wipe out silicon valley so he is the leading producer of microchips. Bond foils his plan and fights him atop the famous Golden Gate Bridge, winning. This was the last of Roger Moore’s movies as James Bond. I give this one a 9.1.

Hello, today I’m reviewing Octopussy. This movie was about as good as For Your Eyes Only. It is about a ceramic egg that gets auctioned to a man who’s associated to jewelry smugglng. James Bond switches the egg and has Q implant the fake with a tracking device and microphone so Bond can spy on the smugglers later known as Octopussy. The head of the corporation Octopussy eventually turns for good after she finds out the man who bought the egg at the auction is helping the Russian army implant a bomb that will blow up tracing back to the U.S.A. Overall I give this one an 8.7.

For Your Eyes Only: A Review

Hello, this is a review of For Your Eyes Only. It was definitely better than Moonraker. A Greek with the ATAC, a british device gets blown up by a bomb launched by a Greek heroin smuggler. It is bonds job to find the smuggler and retrieve the ATAC. The smuggler does get killed, by another Greek smuggler of cashews who throws a knife at him. Bond gets a hold of the ATAC but throws it into the water… This movie reminded me a little of From Russia With Love with the whole” Bond has to get a hold of a certain item." Overall I give this one 8.6.

Army of Darkness: A Review.

Hello there, today I'm reviewing Army of Darkness. Honestly I think Sam Raimi is a bit crackers. This was like watching a cartoon set in the middle ages! There was only like one zombie though, but there were other things like a badass evil guy and his army(of darkness.) Pretty much Ash opens the ripple of time and goes back to the middle ages to help fight in a war against an evil force and get back home into his own time. I think Evil Dead1&2 were better but this one was still good. I give it a 7.4.

Paranormal Activity 2: A Review

Hello, I am going to review Paranormal Activity. This movie was scary! It was as scary as Paranormal Activity. It was actually a prequel as they explain at the end because the end is the beginning of number 1. The demon does some new stuff like levitating a baby, abducting a dog, and slamming all the doors and cupboards at the same time. It also does some old stuff like dragging somebody down the stairs, and closing doors. It is a bit slower than paranormal activity 1 but I think for a reason. The first few days nothing happens. Overall I give this movie a 7.9.

Hello, today I'm reviewing Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn. This movie was pretty much the same as Evil Dead but with better special effects. Pretty much ash and his girlfriend stay in the same cabin ash's friends died in, the haunted one...kind of a stupid move... His girlfriend dies and he has to open the rift of time with the Necronomicon and send the zombies into time & space. This movie had a lot of action and ash loses his hand... This movie was about an 8.0.

Hello, today I'm reviewing Coraline. This movie is based off the book by Neil Gaiman. This movie was done with stop motion which is where you have something and you move it a little, then take a picture, then move it a little...The movie is about Coraline moving in to a new house and finding a door. The door leads to another world where everything's better. The other mother of Coraline: The evil mother says you can stay here as long as you like as long as I sew buttons in your eyes. Coraline later learns it's a trap. The other mother gets more and more disgusting throughout the movie. This movie gets an 8.4.

Moonraker: A Review

Hello, this is a review of Moonraker. It was probably the worst of all the Roger Moore movies I’ve seen. It was still good but not what I expected. The title got me thinking a. it’s going to take place mostly on the moon or at least in space.

They did go in space but it was at the end. A really cool thing though was the laser fight and James Bond’s wrist dart shooter. Jaws dies in this one too. Overall I give this one a 7.2.

Paranormal Activity: A Review

Hello there, today I'm reviewing Paranormal Activity. This movie is the first movie that scared me...a lot! This movie as you might see from the picture won the "Scariest Movie" prize at the screamfest. It basically is this couple, Katie and Micah in there house with a videocamera trying to find evidence that this "demon" is haunting Katie. During the night mysterious things happen like doors moving by themselves, footprints, foot step sounds, banging, swinging chandeliers, lights going on and off, mysterious pictures, bedsheets moving, and weird periods of katie just standing there for 2 hours straight. It was very realistic. I think this movie would count as a mockumentary. I thought it was real.

P.S. If you want to scare somebody... find somebody you live with and tell them ghosts are haunting our house. Then when the person isn't looking tie 4-5 strings to the door in your house in the room the other person is in. Then pull the strings. Depending on where you are it will either slam the door or pull it open.

A Nightmare on Elm Street: a Review.

Hello there, I'm Reviewing A Nightmare on Elm Street. This is the one from 1984 not the remake. This movie was actually a little scarier than the shining. It still didn't scare me though. Freddy Krougar is pretty bad-ass though. I liked the whole he can only kill in your sleep, but it really happens. The multiple times when Freddy Krougar is chasing somebody in there dream and then it shows a shot of them squirming in bed. Then cuts magically appear. There are some pretty awesome special effects as well. Scary-Scale: 4.1.

P.S: I didn't have nightmares...
NOTE: If you live with someone else in your house or multiple, ( even better), that are familiar with this movie this is a funny trick. Grab a pair of big scissors or fabric scissors and cut four little holes in a shirt that you don't need anymore. Put the shirt on and in the places were your skin is exposed and put fake blood in the holes, if it drips don't worry that's more realistic. Jhon Carpenter's: The Thing: A Review

Hello there, I'm Reviewing Jhon Carpenter's The Thing. This is actually the remake of the movie The Thing From Another World made in the 50s. This movie was the first horror movie I saw where it wasn't scary it was just gross. Just to show you how gross here is a picture of "The Thing." As you may know they remade The Thing for a third time and it is supposed to be in theaters soon, or it might have already come out. Anyway the thing is about this arctic research team. When a helicopter from Norway comes a weird gross monster starts taking over the bodies of Dogs and Crewmembers and it all comes down to a final blood test and a flamethrower. Scary-Scale: 1.0. Gross-Gauge: 10.0!!!!

The Shining: A Review

Hello there, today I'm reviewing The Shining. From a few people I've heard "this is the scariest movie I've ever seen." It was the scariest movie I've ever seen, yet it wasn't scary. The chase in the hedge maze was pretty awesome though. And the elevator with the geyser of blood. It was an extremely well acted movie, showing how he gradually went crazy, and the writing of the same phrase over and over again was pretty weird. And the kid was probably the best child actor I've ever seen. I'm gonna start walking around with a knife yelling "REDRUM." Anyway on the Scary-Scale I give it a 4.0. This movie didn't really scare me.

The Spy Who Loved Me: A Review

Hello, this is a review of The Spy who Loved Me. This was a good movie. In my opinion not as good as Live an Let Die or The Man with the Golden gun. It was the first James Bond movie to feature Richard Kiel as menacing Jaws. James Bond has to foil the villains plan of launching nuclear missiles at various large cities. He does and destroys his “Atlantis”, an underwater base, all well getting away in a comfortable escape pod with the spy who loved him, Agent XXX or triple x. Overall I give this one an 8.5.

Evil Dead: A Review

Hello, today I'm reviewing Evil Dead. This movie is about 5 teenagers who end up in a forest haunted with zombies after accidentally playing a tape recording that brings back the dead. This movie only has 5 characters and 1 setting and it was pretty low budget. Sadly the Zombies weren't as scary as i thought they'd be. The acting was good especially at the end. The last half hour has almost no dialog what so ever, it's all acting. Also the shaky camera moving through the house effect was cool. Scary-scale: 3.2. This movie didn't scare me.

Grizzly Man: A Review

Hello there, today I'm reviewing Grizzly Man. A movie about Timothy Treadwell, a person who camped in the Alaskan wilderness every summer for 10 years, studying grizzly bears and living with them. Then he got mauled to death by one. This is a biographical documentary by Verner Herzog. A large percentage of it is made up of footage that Timothy Treadwell shot for a documentary about grizzlies that never got made. Instead, it got put into a documentary about him. In my opinion, he was a little insane. He tried to connect with nature just a little too much. But, it was a great movie.

The Man With the Golden Gun: A Review

Hello there, I am reviewing The Man with the Golden Gun. This Bond movie for me was pretty much like Live and Let Die but not as good. It has some highlights like when Bond shoots that guy in the crotch. The movie is mainly about Bond trying to avoid master assasin Francesco Scaramanga's many attempts at killing him along with his sidekick Knick-Knack, played by Herve Villechaize. There is a memorable car chase in which Bond jumps an AMC over a river. It was pretty killer. Also the golden gun was pretty cool because it's made of household items. I'd give this one 7 out of 10.

Live and Let Die (1973): A Review

Hi, this is Live and Let Die A Review. For starters this is about one thing, three guys getting killed. One in Harlem, one in New Orleans, and one in San Marino. That brings in an interesting voodoo idea. This movies good, except for the first part with racist mentions of the Ku-Klux-Klan and James Bond racistly dissing some people. But if you forget about the racism the first part is great with a car chase, Bond knocking some guys out with a ladder, and a trapdoor in a bar. This is also the first Roger Moore and I'm trying not to like him as much as Connery but it's hard, he's good. The bad guy is Mr. Big he's the man that had the three agents killed, he sucks. But he's cool! Also at the end Bond has a boat chase and jumps a highway in the louisiana bayous. That was rated as the 3rd best stunt in James Bond history. That move wasn't liked by sheriff big southern cop guy (not real name, I forgot, I'll just say that.) Sheriff big southern cop guy is actually a returning character, so bye that's all I got.

Diamonds Are Forever (1971): A Review

Hi, this is Diamonds Are Forever a review. This movie wasn't as good as the Lazenby one. It was much easier to sit through not being eight hours long but for some reason I didn't like it as much. Though Sean Connery is back and it's 1971 (great year) it didn't seem as good. It might've been I was bored of the regular Bond story line and liked the Lazenby film's story line better. I don't know any way it was average. Taking place mostly in Vegas much less gambling happened than I suspected. Also if you're a big bond fan you know of the Blofeld trilogy (Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, and On Her Majesty's Secret service.) A , in Thunderball you only see his pants, and B blofeld is also in this one. He comes with hair though. There are also some cool gadgets like, suction gloves,and a voice changer, and a cool car chase in which bond 2 wheel drives through a walkway.So pretty much throughout the movie Bond is tracking these Diamonds, hence the name and two bad guys who work for Blofeld are killing people with the diamonds all, well rockin' the bell bottoms.

Action factor:

Hello, this is Classic Record Reviews: Master of Puppets. This is no album for wimps. This is a great album. My favorite part of this is the lyrics " the weak are ripped and torn away..." That's awesome. What makes it awesome is how James Hetfield sings it. It is also about batteries. Interesting... The subject of drug corruption runs deep in " Master of Puppets." It is an interesting topic as well as batteries. This album is the bridge between "light" death metal and heavy metal. Not having grumbly mumbling singing but the music in a death metal way. I'd been informed that " the thing that should not be" was inspired by H.P. Lovecraft like other songs. This album was good , but some of the music was not to my liking all of the singing was good though. The end.

On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969): A Review

Hello, this is On Her Majesty's Secret Service a review. I'm going to make this review just as long as movie was. Yes, it was long. This movie like the others had an action filled beginning. It took about 20 minutes for me to get used to George Lazenby, but I still liked it. He pretty much gets captured in a clinic in the Swiss alps, and a winter sports theme comes into play. You see curling, ice skating, skiing, and even a bobsled fight. This movie has lots of action but no killing until about halfway in the movie. This movie has a psychedelic twist as well with weird voice overs. This is also the last in the Blofeld trilogy. So some people might say it's horrible, but I think it was very good. I think it had the right kill/make out ratio.

Hi, this is You Only Live Twice a review. This movie starts out with a scene in space. As you may have known this movie takes place in Japan. This is also a some racism, like the fact that he becomes "Japanese," meaning he looks like it, and he's a ninja. Yes, this movie has lots of ninjas and stuff. His gadgets were cool, including rocket firing rifles, sub-machine guns, and an awesome helicopter. This Bond gets points off for being the most racist and at parts almost putting me to sleep or was that the fact that I was tired from watching Thunderball too.

There were 90 bajillion explosions.

Hello, this is Thunderball, a review. This movie starts, like most other James Bond films, with an action filled beginning; a fight where he kills a man dressed as a lady. This film contains the first appearance of a jet-pack in a Bond film, and a use of a high powered water cannon on the Austin Martin. Also, if you don't like water don't watch this. Taking place on beautiful Nassau, there's lot's of water, so use it all, and that's what they did. This was a try and fail and try again mission, with lots of swimming here, and going there, and lots of sharks. At the end you get a big underwater fight. So over all it was not my favorite Bond but it was okay.

Hello, people. You are about to venture to an exotic land, with stunning architecture, a beautiful downtown area, greeting and grinning residents, (all 213,000 of them) and nice cobblestone streets. My Journey started at the BART station going to Fremont.

As I got on bart I witnessed "the main controls." And the train started.

Then, I get going on the train. If you'll see, Fremont is pretty close to San Jose so it was a long ride.

Finally, I got there and there was nothing (duh.) There weren't even houses just every few blocks, an office or something. Also, This artifact of Fremontian architecture greatly resembles that of Pleasantonian and Pittsburgite architecture.
I then found a shopping mall with so much Indian Food I had to choose from Dosa Hut or Masala Grill, I chose Masala Grill.
I also found an Indian movie theater. Let's go see this Viput Amrutial Shaw film "Action Replayy."

It seems that there are hills in every one of these places, weird.

And to prove that was Fremont, there's the station sign.
And I'm finally on the way home. It went like it did the way there.
That's where I was, pretty far. That bridge in the bottom left is the Dumbarton. And the camera ran out of batteries but I did still make it home and in San Francisco it was thundering and lightninging too.

Hello, this is a post about what I did on Market street today.Sort of a tour. The first thing I saw was a boarded up building. You'll see a lot of those in Mid Market around 7th, 8th, and 9th streets.After the array of abandoned buildings at around 6th the Market Street Cinema. I shall not discuss more for the contents is not suitable for children (X-rated.)
You thought the boarded up buildings were over, noooo. Hollywood billiards is long gone, by the way cool mural.
Also this sports store, gone. I've been there too. I don't know why they didn't survive?
Then I finally got to the San Francisco Center between 5th and 4th street. This is me walking inside it.
Then we got to the sit-lie lunch. I ate four fish tacos from the Rubio's in the food court. Then after my dad talked with the other people at the lunch.
Then here's Jeffery's Toys and Comics, between 3rd and 4th street. They're known for their selection of great toys comics and other cool stuff.
This is an odd store called My Dutch Bike were all there bikes are made in Holland, and they're weird.
This is a view laying down from a steel labrynth-like walkway.
This is one of the old F market street cars. This one was made in Los Angeles, it was one of the few things made in Los Angeles.

Then I finally got to the ferry building, the end now it's time to head back. Also I saw some people doing parcour. Parcour is like street skating but without the board.\
Then once I got to about 4th street on the other side of the street was the virgin megastore or megaclosed as I should say, ha, ha, oh that's not funny
Well the only words on that sign I can see are Jesus, Hell, Sin, and Sex. They sure don't go together. And here's a random guy playing guitar without pants. I bought a guitar but not pants.
Then finally got back close enough to home at where the people play chess. That's what I did on Market street today.

Shaolin Soccer: A Review

Hello, this is Shaolin Soccer: A Review. Well, the first thing I'd like to say is that this is the best foreign movie I've ever seen. Stephen Chow is completely mad, so that means a good movie. As much as I hate sports, I love this movie. Pretty much there's a dude who assembles a soccer team but weird thing is, is that the team is made up of his shaolin brothers, then they try to fight the evil team. They are evil. They're booted up with... something, . You'll have to watch to see if they beat the evil team, also most of them get severely wounded... cool! It's one funny movie also remember: if you wanna kick butt in soccer, learn kung fu and don't take drugs.

Classic Record Reviews: The Adolescents

Hello, this is a review of Adolescents by the Adolescents. Like a lot of punk, it goes full force in a short time, but when you hear the first riff you know it's gonna be a good song. The first song is like bait, not so strong, but when you hear "Who is Who" you're probably traumatized. In some songs they have slow and awkward parts, and riffs and sounds that you probably haven't heard in a punk song. When I listen to this album it reminds me of when you're hanging out with a friend, it is awesome, but goes quick, or taking a pill you get it over with pretty quick, but the difference is that pills suck and the Adolescents don't. I think that the Adolescents are my favorite punk band. I used to think it was Black Flag, but I've changed my mind after listening to "Amoeba" eight bajillion times I've thought otherwise. That is what I think of this record.

Goldfinger (1964): A review

Hello, this is Goldfinger, a review. This amazing movie starts in Miami Beach, where Mr. Bond, of course, makes out a lot. This is the first Bond film I've seen yet that actually has one extremely clear villain...Goldfinger, a fat, evil, European guy. That change may be due to the change of directors from Terence Young to Guy Hamilton. If you're James Bond you can be cool anywhere from Miami Beach to Fort Knox. Goldfinger also tries to break into the biggest bank (in 1964) in America. Will he succeed or not? I'm not telling you. In the end Bond makes out with gorgeous looking, wierdly named, Pussy Galore. Is she bad or good? Until next time Goldfingeeeeeerrrr.

Hello, this is Hear Nothing, See Nothing, Say Nothing a review. Discharge is kind of like the god of Hardcore, sort of generic hardcore but in a good way because they sort of revolutionized hardcore. These 30 second to a minute songs may have one verse then stop, but they get the idea out, and quick. For some people they don't get it, but for others its glass clear, no in between attitudes. The songs are pretty much about being mad about the government for having war and violent activity. The cover art pretty much explains the title: an ear, an eye, a mouth, but also, "hello cabbage face I will eat you now," yeah I don't get it either. They should've called it Hear Nothing, See Nothing, Say nothing, Eat Nothing Healthy.

From Russia with Love (1963): A Review

Hello, I'm here with a review of From Russia with Love. Get ready to first go to not Russia but Turkey, yeah big shocker. James actually doesn't go to Russia it's only creepy senior spy and some other lady that does. This movie has slightly more action than Dr. No and better special effects, but I still didn't like it as much maybe it was that scene where some girl is dancing then gets shot, wait that happens in all of them. But besides that this movie is filled with car chases, duh, boat chases, huh, and lots of making out, duh. Hold your fire it ain't over yet we still have to steal a guy's truck then drive it to the guy's boat and umm, go to Venice. So yeah, 4 stars.

Dr. No (1962): A Review

Hello, I recently got into Bond and this is the first 007 review. Dr. No was made in 1962, when the peak of technology was primitive by our day's standards. The early Bond movies aren't as stunt driven and action filled as the recent ones, but he does get in some thrilling car pursuits and fist fights. I'd say this was Connery's peak...almost. This movie was probably one of the coolest movies set in Jamaica I've ever seen. The gunfire is pretty primitive and the bombs are obviously fake but come on it's the early 60's, it's what you get. Pretty much it goes like this: Bond is on a mission to find some minerals but some deranged idiot catches him and tries to kill him. So over all it was good. The name's Bond...James Bond. Keep on waiting for my review of From Russia With Love.

Classic Record Reviews: Slowly We Rot

Hello this is a classic record review: Obituary Slowly We Rot. This record is to a lot of people generic death metal. Fast, simple, and continuous riffs, and to back up the riffs is some difficult mechanic drumming. Judging by the song titles, they would be happy to see a worm's guts squeezed out by force, because they would have another interesting song, like the others about bleeding, and hell, and suffocating, and worms getting throttled to death. The cover art is my favorite part, that's pretty awesome, a guy lying on the pavement dead. The music kind of clears all thought from the person listening, and makes them think of somebody stabbing someone who is already dying, to make it so they don't suffer. It's like a good thing, but a bigger bad thing.

It all starts with me at the BART station waiting for the train to take me on my odyssey to Pittsburg which is many fathoms away.( A long ride.)

Then still waiting, what the...? It's a pay phone! Those are still around? I thought they were extinct, hit by the meteor of "Modern Technology." Well I guess they're only in train stations from 1970.

Here is the long BART ride all the way east and north and east and north and boom Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill,and Concord. After going through a series of multiple ugly large glass buildings I'm here...finally...ughhh.

Hey, who turned up the heat about 40 degrees? Where is the stuff ? It vanished. Pittsburg is a twentieth of what I thought it would be, maybe a thirtieth.

I found stuff. Cool, a Safeway Food and Drug, the second one sounds more appetizing. A plate of steaming hot drugs? Is crystal meth worse than regular meth?

Instead of a meth entree, it's Mexican. Mmmm salsa, salsa,sal--can't talk eating.SALSA.

Also I enjoyed a Mojado Burrito. Three words: awesome, authentic, cuisine. And out of anywhere in the world Pittsburg.

Barf after eating too much caesar salad or a Round Table Pizza? You decide, I'm for choice A.

Now in the name of Maiden,"Run to the Hills." There are plenty out here like the one shown.

There I was, way out there, near the Sacramento River. Far...

Home again. I had been out for 6 hours and I was tired. Now that was what happened in Pittsburg.

Band of the Week: Angel Witch

This time's band of the week is Angel Witch, an underrated metal band from London, the metal nation that was the father of two other extremely awesome bands, Motorhead and Iron Maiden. They were also New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Their smooth. straightforward, and simple songs are one of the keys to their greatness, making it easy to know what the song is about. and if it's good. which it mostly is. Their songs are pointed toward mythical beings and places, and even if you aren't fond of their lyrics you'll get caught on with the many catchy riffs and solos. This cool band started in 1978, their first record though was in 1980, the same year Reagan ruined the united states and his footprint has stayed ever since. Anyway overall, "You're an Angel Witch, You're an Angel Witch."

Crud Wizard: How long have you been skateboarding?

Eric: I started skating when I was 6 years old and now I'm 46 ,so for about 40 years.

Crud Wizard: Do you know what your blood type is?

Eric: My blood type is A. It's A negative.

Crud Wizard: What's your biggest challenge ever?

Eric: I think the biggest challenge anyone can have is integrity. Setting rules in life some goals and beliefs and sticking to them. that's the biggest challenge.

Crud Wizard: Where did you grow up?

Eric: I'm a San Francisco native and I grew up in district 5, Haight Ashbury and I started skateboarding right here in the panhandle.

Crud Wizard: Eric went to the same school as me, but back then it was called Andrew Jackson now it's called New Traditions.

Crud Wizard: what is the hardest thing you'd ever done that had to do with skateboarding?

Eric: The first contest I've ever entered when I joined the marines back in 1982 and I entered a pro-amatuer contest and took 7th against the pros in flatland.

Alamo Square Deli

Today I'm going to review Alamo Square Deli. It's were I get all my sandwiches. They have the best ones. It is near Alamo Square park S.F, near where I live. They also sell groceries and other foods. This is the front of their store.

This is their sign. They do make a mean sandwich witch by the way is an inanimate object as you may not know.

This is the inside of the store. I call it the garage market 'cause it looks like a garage. The food is that kind of food where you see them making it you're so happy that it's almost done and you can eat it.

One of their signature sandwiches is the west coast style Zibbity Bop. I've never had it but it looks mouth wateringly goooooooooddd.

And last but not least is the Dio. Spicy. Spicy. Spicy. Over all this is the best sandwich place ever in the history of everness everly ever!

Classic Record Reviews: Reign In Blood

This classic record review is Reign in Blood by Slayer. A reason I like this album is because it isn't one of those albums where you have to trot through 20 minute instrumentals with the same riff through the whole record. It is a fast paced guitar solo-filled speed album. Using this style they get through 20 minutes of awesome material in 4 minutes. Although at times it is just so fast and complicated you can't follow it. But besides that, it is a great album. The sound of it is so chaotic, that it just stuns you a makes you say, "I like this. I want to hear more!" Their music makes me think of a boat on rough seas, and that boat has me on it. The reason I say that, is the riffs give you a sort of up and down feeling. If you think about it too much you might get nauseous. Even with that, it it is still a 4 star record. Some words I found in every songs lyrics were "flesh," "death," and "blood" which makes me think their songs are about somebody ripping apart somebody's flesh and blood to death. Lastly the cover art, it reminds me of both a Picasso painting and a wood carving of people worshipping a goat. With that weird cover art and awesome solos and vocals Reign in Blood is a great record that I hope you all own.

Here is a new feature on Crud Wizard called "My Bay Area." I'm going to be going to a different place each time and talk about it with pictures and words. Today I went to Pleasanton.

Above is me on the bus going to the train in which I will go to Pleasanton. It is a short bus ride, but you see many things, for instance I saw a drumming band and a bunch of guys dancing.

After the bus ride, I got on the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit.) I saw the industrial part of Oakland and San Leandro. There were bursts of suburban areas where all the houses looked the same, and a lot of people had pools.

I arrived in pleasanton and I realized there was nothing there. In the picture you see me in front of the BART station parking lot.

Here I am right next to the Oracle building, I'm pretty sure they make...something. It was really hot in Pleasanton.

Then I ended up on world famous Hacienda Drive which is famous for nothing.

Then I realized this was like looking for gold in a toilet because there was no place to eat or do anything fun. Until... I discovered a shopping center, whoa.

That shopping center had a taqueria in it where I ate food and the taqueria happened to be a another franchise of a taqueria I really like in San Fransisco called Balazo. I had a burrito, a good burrito.

This here is a prime example of ancient Pleasantonian architecture.

As you can see here Walmart is another one of my hatreds along with Reagan and Hippies. I hate Walmart because it is a giant corporation slowly devouring small towns like Pleasanton where fat americans shop for toilet paper and Twix Bars!

Home at last after a long day of being in a rural suburb I came home to the big city of San Francisco. I liked Pleasanton but I don't wan't to go back, hoped you liked my adventure.

Band of the Week: Motörhead

Hi, this week's band is Motorhead. Originating from London, they technically count as one of the most popular New Wave of British Heavy Metal bands, along with Iron Maiden and Def Leppard. The name Motorhead is a word for speed freak. The reason I like Motorhead is because they have the flowing guitars that Thin Lizzy does and the bass lines and rhythm of Judas Priest, with a little of their own special style. Their music makes me think of a big muscular guy walking down a street, throwing cars and smashing street posts. Motorhead reigns supreme.

Despicable Me Review

I recently saw Despicable Me. It was a very interesting movie, with multiple conflicts, but instead of the idea of good vs. evil, was evil vs. eviler. The concept was good also. The multiple conflicts thing made the movie more complex and in places the conflicts tie together. It is, in ways, similar to lots of other kids movies, like Shrek or Up, with the theme of somebody who has to get used to someone he's not really fond of. In many ways it's different from other kids movies. So overall this was the best movie I saw this summer. You should see it.

Classic Record Reviews: Don't Break the Oath

Today's classic record is "Don't Break The Oath" by Mercyful Fate. This is a very metal record, put out in 1984, when a lot of metal was going on. As you may know, Mercyful Fate were from Denmark. What makes this record so awesome, in my opinion, is King Diamond. Even though he's on every record by Mercyful Fate, his performance is top notch on this one. King Diamond has a very distinct voice, like that of a possessed pixie. I've found that a large amount of their lyrics are about sacred stuff, like oaths and seances. Based on the lyrics, I think they were interested in creepy and mysteriously evil content. The music is plainly metal, played well to make it sound much more complicated than it is. Sometimes it makes me picture someone doing a pole vault, and sometimes it makes me think of ninjas. The cover art, I'm guessing, is somebody hell-related like Satan pointing and saying " Don't break the oath or I will eat you, weakling." If you do not own this album you're totally missing out on some awesome music.

Here is my first band of the week feature. This week's band is Thin Lizzy. Thin Lizzy is a Irish Hard rock band that literally pretty much invented modern day hard rock. The were founded by Brian Downey and Philip Lynott. Thin Lizzy's best albums are Jailbreak, Fighting, and Bad Reputation. Sadly Phil Lynott died of drug overdose in 1986, but his spirit still remains in a bronze statue in Dublin. Thin Lizzy were around from 1969 to the present day, but they broke up a few times in the process. Thin Lizzy was a big influence to bands such as Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, Iron Maiden even covered the song "Massacre." Thin Lizzy covers many subjects in their song lyrics, for instance one song like "Cowboy Song" is about cowboys and another like "Jailbreak" is about someone escaping from jail. So thats why I love Thin Lizzy.

My Metal Weekend

I had a very metal weekend. Here it is. On Friday I saw Dysrhythmia, my dad's friend Colin's band at the bar Slims. I had an awesome time. Dysrhythmia was very rhythmic and intricate. Colin played bass, and was quite good. On Saturday I went to Tidal Wave, the metal festival in McLaren park. The first few bands weren't that good but when Stone Vengeance played they were o.k. But then they played "I Don't Know" by Ozzy Osbourne, it was cool. Then came Giant Squid who I'd never heard, and they were good. The second day my dad's friend Sarah gave us a ride. And the best band by far was Amber Asylum, Sarah's band. But during the whole thing I had a lot of fun, like rolling down hills, exploring in the park, building log forts and climbing trees.

I like Dealing With It by D.R.I because they're fighting with happy faces on TV and they're destroying the house.

Hello this is Crud Wizard a blog that I am doing. I'm going to write and post many things that interest me. I am a 9 year old living in the gut of San Francisco and I like to play music. I play Trumpet and Drums and my dad is the drummer of the bands Ludicra and Agalloch. He does the blog Cosmic Hearse. My mom is a writer that also maintains a blog called Room 2 Ruminations with her class. So with both my parents having a blog I thought that it would be cool to have one too.
